Economy: Bank, Market, and Exchange

The bank, world market, and full exchange-rate formulas for the Diamond Pool and Tech Point Pool.

Bank

Enter /bank for help. Common operations are deposit, withdraw, loan, repay, info, and stats.

Current rules:

  • Daily deposit interest rate: 0.1%.
  • Daily loan interest rate: 1.7%.
  • Maximum loan per player: 5000 coins.
  • The top 50 players on the wealth leaderboard are subject to a 0.2% wealth tax rate.

World Market

Enter /market or /wm to open the market. Each player can create one shop and post sell orders, buy orders, and share orders there. Items are escrowed when a sell order is posted. When a buy order fills, the cost is deducted from the owner's balance in real time; the owner can later collect the items received.

Shop rules:

  • Each shop has 45 order slots; a single order can contain up to 3456 items.
  • Item unit prices range from 0.01 to 100000000 coins.
  • A 20-coin stall fee is charged at midnight each day. Deposit stall funds into the shop in advance. If its balance is insufficient, the shop closes and cannot post orders again until the fee is covered.
  • Shares use 1% increments and share only revenue from sell orders. They do not grant shop-management rights and do not cover buy-order costs or stall fees.
  • Use /market help to view commands for creation, deposits, selling, buying, renaming, and shares.

How the Exchange Pools Work

The exchange page in the main menu connects to two separate coin pools: the Diamond Pool and the Tech Point Pool. When players exchange diamonds or Tech Points for coins, coins leave the corresponding pool. When players buy with coins, coins enter that pool. After each transaction, the rate is recalculated from the pool's coin balance.

Both pools use the same piecewise function. Let x be the pool's current coin balance and r be the number of coins for 1 diamond or 1 Tech Point:

  • When x < 1000: r = max(0.01, 4 × exp((x−1000) ÷ 2000)).
  • When x ≥ 1000: r = 10 + 0.893 × ln(x ÷ 10000) + 0.0004381 × (x−10000) + 0.001 × (x−10000) × exp(−(x−10000)² ÷ 7000000).

The more coins in a pool, the more it will generally pay for diamonds or Tech Points; exchanging large amounts of coins out lowers the rate. At midnight each day, the Diamond Pool attempts to receive 500 coins from the bank's total assets. If the bank does not have enough assets, the transfer is skipped that day. The Tech Point Pool does not receive this daily deposit.

Transaction Rounding

Coins received from selling diamonds or Tech Points are displayed to two decimal places, but the amount deducted from the exchange pool is rounded up. When buying with coins, the number of diamonds or Tech Points received is rounded down; a transaction does not occur if the result is less than 1. Tech Shards, Tech Ingots, and Tech Blocks are recognized as 1, 9, and 81 Tech Points respectively, and change is handled normally. Use the in-game page for current pool balances and live rates.
