kite World: Elite Tech Mobs

Elite mob levels, attributes, skills, Tech Shard drops, and boss events.

World Background

kite was originally a Minecraft server save from a server that had shut down. It was later acquired and preserved as a small world in this server's world system. It retains the exploratory feel of the old save while hosting the Elite Tech Mob gameplay.

Spawn Area and Levels

Elite Tech Mobs spawn only in the kite world. Their level is based on horizontal distance from the world origin: level = 1 + floor(distance ÷ 100), with a minimum of level 1 and a maximum of level 80. Eligible naturally spawned mobs are zombies, skeletons, strays, husks, drowned, spiders, cave spiders, creepers, endermen, witches, and pillagers.

Attribute Formulas

  • Maximum health = 35 + 45 × (level−1), capped at 600.
  • Attack damage = 5 + 2.6 × (level−1), capped at 80.
  • Movement speed = 0.23 + 0.002 × (level−1), capped at 0.34.

Levels 1–9 usually have 1 skill, levels 10–29 have 2, and level 30 or higher has 3. Death explosions are part of the skill pool.

Common Combat Skills

Each attack has an 18% chance to trigger an attack skill: slowness, ignition, knockback, or Resistance for the mob itself for 4 seconds. Slowness lasts 60+6×level ticks, up to Slowness IV; burning lasts 80+8×level ticks; knockback strength is 0.7+min(1.4, 0.04×level).

Other abilities include:

  • At 35% health or less, an 18% chance, once per mob, to summon up to 3 elite silverfish.
  • Every 3 seconds, an 8% chance to place cobblestone that lasts 18 seconds.
  • Every 3 seconds, a 7% chance to break allowed blocks within a radius of 1.
  • Every 3 seconds, a 10% chance to lock onto a player within 18 blocks and teleport to a point about 2.2 blocks in front of them.
  • On death, it may trigger an explosion with power 2.2. It does not ignite blocks, but it does break them.

Tech Shard Drops

Tech drops are only calculated when a player kills the mob; normal vanilla drops are cleared. The chance to drop at least 1 Tech Shard is min(55%, 6%+1.2%×level). If successful, 1 drops first. The initial chance for each extra shard is min(85%, 1.8%×level); after each additional roll, the chance is multiplied by 0.55. A maximum of 4 shards can drop.

Boss Events

Elite boss events take place in the kite world. A boss is at least level 20 and has 6 skills; its squad size is 50. Killing a boss guarantees 35 Tech Shards. Under the current settings, the next boss becomes eligible to spawn again in about 6 hours.

Survival Reminder

High-level elite mobs in this world gain damage and health quickly and may break nearby blocks. Elite mobs follow the vanilla mob-spawning mechanics.
