Tech Furnace
Recipe: 1 normal furnace in the center and 8 Tech Shards around it. It does not retain normal smelting output. Each successfully processed smeltable item adds 0.01 Tech Points; after 100 items, it produces 1 Tech Shard. Taking items out grants no normal furnace experience.
Tech Smelter
Recipe: 1 barrel in the center and 8 Tech Ingots around it. The machine checks once every 60 seconds, and its chunk must be loaded.
Operating conditions and algorithm:
- It needs diamonds and lava buckets inside.
- Each lava bucket provides a 10% success chance per minute, up to a maximum of 100%.
- On success, it consumes 1 diamond and produces 1 Tech Shard.
- Lava buckets provide success chance only and are not consumed.
- Production stops when output space is full.
Important Risk
Tech machines are not containers that can be moved freely. Breaking them, moving them with a piston, or similar actions will destroy the machine and clear its contents. Breaking one also causes an explosion with power 2.0 that can break blocks.
Tech Reactor
The Tech Reactor is a 3×3×3 multiblock structure. The reactor core is at the exact center. Place 1 reactor port directly above and 1 directly below the core; use reactor casing for all remaining 24 blocks.
Component recipes:
- Fill a 3×3 crafting grid with Tech Blocks to craft 9 reactor casings. Placed casings look like iron blocks.
- Place 1 dropper in the center and 8 Tech Blocks around it to craft 1 reactor port.
- Place 1 observer in the center and 8 Tech Blocks around it to craft 1 reactor core.
The upper port receives materials and the lower port outputs products. Hoppers can connect from above and below. The reactor performs at most one reaction per second and chooses the recipe based on the first non-empty item in the input container. Items of the same type can be spread across multiple slots.
Reaction recipes:
- 3 diamonds → 2 Molten Mineral.
- 64 iron ingots → 1 Molten Mineral.
- 64 normal gold ingots → 1 Molten Mineral; Tech Ingots cannot substitute.
- 128 copper ingots → 1 Molten Mineral.
- 1 Molten Mineral → 1 Tech Shard.
Before each reaction attempt, the reactor checks whether water directly touches the outer casing. Source water and flowing water both count, but water next to either the upper or lower port does not count as cooling, so those spaces can be used for hoppers. It does not react if materials are insufficient or the output below lacks space. If a complete recipe is present but there is no cooling water, the reactor immediately explodes with power 25, breaking blocks and igniting nearby areas; input and output items are destroyed as well.
Mob Suppressor
Recipe: 1 bone in the center and 8 Tech Blocks around it. The finished machine looks like a beacon. It suppresses a full 5×5 chunk area: 2 chunks in each horizontal direction from the chunk containing the machine.
The suppressor blocks only naturally spawned hostile mobs. It does not affect animals, spawners, breeding, player-summoned mobs, or mobs that already exist. The machine's chunk must be loaded. It deducts 3 Tech Points in advance per minute and maintains suppression for the following minute. It stops automatically if its balance is insufficient. While working, pale blue particles appear above the beacon.
Right-click normally to open the deposit interface. Click Tech Shards, Tech Ingots, or Tech Blocks in your own inventory to deposit the entire stack at 1, 9, or 81 Tech Points per item, respectively. Deposited Tech Points cannot be withdrawn.
Teleport Anchor
Recipe: 1 ender pearl in the center and 8 Tech Blocks around it. The finished machine also looks like a beacon. After placing an anchor, send your next message directly in chat to name it. Anchors with the same name can be distinguished by the world and coordinates shown in the teleport menu.
Left-click an anchor normally to open the destination menu. Choose another teleport anchor on the same server to teleport, including between worlds. Each successful teleport deducts 9 Tech Points from the departure anchor; teleporting is unavailable if its balance is insufficient. If the two blocks of space above the destination beacon are obstructed, teleporting is refused without a fee. The teleport menu supports pagination and shows the current balance of the departure anchor.
Right-click an anchor normally to open its deposit interface. Depositing works the same way as for the Mob Suppressor, and funds cannot be withdrawn afterward. Anchors with sufficient balance show a few purple particles. Successful teleportation displays teleport particles and plays a sound at both the departure point and destination.
To prevent the left-click menu from interfering with mining, neither left- nor right-click opens the machine interface while sneaking. Mob Suppressors and Teleport Anchors follow the same destruction rules as Tech Smelters: breaking or moving them with a piston destroys the machine and its entire balance, and causes a power-2.0 explosion that can break blocks. They do not drop as machines when destroyed by another explosion.
Colored Glass
Recipe: 1 normal glass in the center and 8 Tech Blocks around it. Once placed, it automatically cycles through the 16 stained-glass colors every second. It can be used as building decoration, and a beacon beam passing through it changes to the current glass color.
Colored Glass changes color only while its chunk is loaded. Mining it normally drops a Colored Glass item. It cannot be moved by pistons; if destroyed by an explosion, it does not retain its special identity.
Block Placer
Recipe: 1 dispenser in the center and 8 Tech Blocks around it. The direction it faces is its working direction. Each time it receives a redstone signal, it attempts to place 1 block directly in front of the dispenser.
Usage rules:
- All 9 slots can contain a mix of normal blocks and Tech Ingots. The machine uses the first placeable block it finds in slot order.
- The first time the machine successfully places a block, it consumes 1 Tech Ingot and grants 60 seconds of use. It can place blocks without a limit during those 60 seconds and does not charge again.
- After the use period expires, the next successful placement consumes another Tech Ingot and starts a new minute. Billing time is not reset by chunk unloading or server restart.
- If the position in front cannot be replaced, no placeable block is available, or a renewal is due but there is no Tech Ingot, that activation consumes nothing.
- The machine cannot place containers, blocks with internal data, or multiblock structures such as doors and beds.
The Block Placer can be mined normally and recovered. Its blocks and Tech Ingots inside also drop normally; unused paid time is not retained in the item. Pistons cannot push the Block Placer, but this does not cause an explosion. If an external explosion destroys it, the machine and its contents drop, with no secondary explosion.
